To each his own, but if you're a serious archer who has been shooting bows for a long time and are familiar with how other brands shoot then OB definitely stands apart when you shoot one without a doubt. Not to mention that Dennis is one of the nicest people you will ever talk to and will go out of his way to help with any concerns or questions. OB has smooth draw from front to back, zero hand shock on shot, repeatable grip over and over, the bows tune easily, the bows have speed, lifetime transferable warranty, no up charge for cam colors/string colors/riser&limb finishes, the bows just shoot amazingly, their customer service is beyond top notch. Obsession knows about the problem an has maybe corrected it for the 2018 bows. It's predecessor took home the editor's choice award of 'Best Overall Bow' last year and Obsession didn. Plus one major plus for OB is that there limbs don't splinter like Hoyt bows do constantly. Dafish 2 Not sure if you bought one or not The turmoil is a good bow, the only problem is the way the cams are made, it burns through strings fairly quickly, whether name brand or generic strings. Review and close up look at Obsession Bow's Def-Con M6Z. Some strings makers like 60X try to make the. Obsession is my idea of a great bow, good speed, quiet, accurate, comfortable cams ( wrecked shoulders will tell you what's nice and what's not!) and easy to let down from full draw, every single bow made currently is smooth so using that word to describe a bow simply shows no knowledge of most bows, because the same can be said of every one, but easy drawing leaves a lot of bows out, but not obsession. When you shoot the new bows that come out every year, year after year and one continously sticks out over the others to me that designates a best bow. The turmoil is a good bow, the only problem is the way the cams are made, it burns through strings fairly quickly, whether name brand or generic strings. Probably the best feeling and shooting bows i have ever had and that is something over 50 bows from everyone but mathews ( shot plenty just didn't like them), over the years i owned hoyts, martins, bowtech, diamond (both post and pre bowtech models) whisper creek, high country, pearson, pse, darton, evolution, bear, apa, archery research, winchester and alien, and probably a couple others i can not even recall right now. The DEF-CON 6 measures 32 ¼ inches between the axles, weighs 4.2 pounds, has a 6-inch brace height, 80 percent letoff, accommodates draw lengths from 23 ½ to 30 inches and is available in peak draw weights of 30, 40, 50, 60, 65 or 70 pounds. All I can say is WOW Anyone lookin to upgrade this year, give the Obsession line a tryout. They are great bows and i currently own a defcon 6, and i have had several different models and have shot most everything they made up until hurricane harvey destroyed my archery shop and put me out of business, Reviews on the obsession line were pretty much A+ Sold the nitrum 30. For what I sold the Triax for I picked both of these up and still pocketed $$$. I’ll have my hands on the FX6 early next week. They look, feel, shoot and do anything just as good if not better than the others. So why don’t I see them mentioned much on here? Just from my 2 days shooting and comparing I think they are underrated. I can also hold at full draw forever compared to the Triax. Evolution grip is great, draw cycle smooth, quiet, and accurate. Triax was great and all but grip and weight I didn’t care for. Haven’t shot the FX6 yet but very similar specs to Evolution however faster and 90% letoff. This bow has a 6-inch brace height and a 32. If I didn’t know the Evolution was 5 yrs old I would have thought it was a current released bow. Obsession Def-Con 6 With a reported 360 IBO and silky-smooth draw cycle, the Obsession Def-Con 6 definitely caught our attention. Recently listed again so I purchased to see how it was.Ģ days later I now have an 2014 Obsession Evolution and a 2019 Obsession FX6. Started looking and found a Obsession Evolution that I had eyes on back in the summer when it was listed here but wasnt fast enough before it was snatched up. I also thought why have it when I can do the same thing with a cheaper bow. I killed 2 deer with it and couldn’t justify owning a bow that was more expensive than any gun I had. I will list the specs of each bow and then my comparisons between the two. A good friend of mine asked if I would set up and tune his new Halon 6 and I happily agreed. Triax was smooth, quiet and packed a punch. I figured after spending some time with both bows I could write up a review of what I consider to be the top speed bows of 2016. I picked up a Mathews Triax last summer and absolutely loved it. Who all shoots Obsession Bows? I had never heard of them until the last year or so.
